In this two day course, participants will learn how to design for rammed earth. Instruction will be given on how to create walls, prepare foundations and build out corners. Forms will be designed and constructed and teachers and participants work together to fabricate a completed wall section for a permitted structure. Design options and recommendations will be given by the instructor including reinforcement techniques, insulation cores and additives for bonding, color, etc. All materials and tools are provided but you may want to bring your own set of gloves.
